We have been empty nesters for about the last 5 years. I love it more than my wife does. Our two remaining children were adults and they would stay home while we would both go out to work. We would come home and the house would be trashed and they would not clean their own rooms. They kept asking us what was for supper when they should have been able to cook something in the kitchen. How hard is hamburger helper? I finally got fed up with it and said "either follow the rules or get the he** out". I now regret having said that because they moved out. My son moved in with his girlfriend in down town Charleston. Her father was a business owner who bought and flipped houses. Needless to say they took better care of Justin than we were able to. My almost 30 year daughter has been hitch hiking all over America living on everyone else's money. I guess you just do the best you can with what you have. No such thing as a perfect parent.
