It has been some time since I have written anything. My last story was back in December of 2021 when I told you about my new bowling ball, the Hammer Raw. I am still learning how to bowl with it. Last Sunday I wound up using my older and heavier ball that I had cleaned and polished. The key to any sport is practice. Practice, practice, and practice some more. The thing is, work gets in the way. Life gets in the way. There are more pressing things to do than hang out at the bowling alley.

As I look back at 2021 here are the life events of mention.

I resigned my job. My wife Katy got a job as a Special Education teacher at a charter school about 8 minutes from where we live. I purchased a manufactured home in Goose Creek. We ceased being renters. Our 29 year old daughter moved back in with us. I landed a new job doing tech support from remote. Several family members passed on.

Yes, I was part of the great resignation that we keep hearing about. Not only do the employers have to determine if you are a good fit for them but we need to figure out if the employer is a good fit for us. After 2.5 years of extreme stress I decided I had enough. No matter how great the pay and benefits are it is not worth a stroke or heart attack. It was a very difficult decision that impacted our finances in a big way.
