Save The Children
I love reading articles on Medium. When I find someone’s articles interesting, informative or entertaining I will probably follow them.
If I were honest, I would say that I probably gravitate to towards likeminded people. Folks who have the same values as me.
I love reading articles that give me a different perspective. We are all different and come from different cultures and backgrounds. Those perspectives help me to broaden my horizons. It helps me to examine what I believe and make necessary adjustments when necessary. It helps me to bring objectivity to the thought process.
Why save the children?
Our children are our most valuable resource. The only thing that is more valuable is time itself. Once you lose them you can never get them back.
As writers on Medium or any other social media platform we should be cognizant of our words. Our words have meaning. We should be knowledgeable about the subject matter. We should not say things out of ignorance.
Yes, the 1st amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America is the freedom of speech. Sure, your ability to say something is protected by the constitution but that does not mean that you will not be held responsible for what you say. There are consequences for saying something inflammatory or that causes harm to others.
