Parenting can be exhausting for sure. Once the children become adults our relationship changes from parent to that of a mentor. We can no longer control their actions or attitudes. Despite that we should set healthy boundaries for both you and them. Both mentor and the adult child should work at having civil communications. Verbal abuse should never be tolerated.
