Nine Questions Writing Prompt
My friend, Angie Mizzell, shared these questions with her listening audience on her latest podcast episode. All of these questions will make you stop, breathe, and look deep within yourself.
How do you feel?
I feel optimistically hopeful about my future. Let me explain…. I turn 63 this year and I know that a majority of my life has been lived and is behind me. I am looking to the future and I plan on working on the continued legacy that I want to leave behind. That will mean that I need to be my authentic self and share some of that stuff through the different media portals that will be there long after I am gone.
How would the story look from my perspective?
Here is the backdrop…. You write a short story about you, your life, your dreams, hopes and fears. How would that story look from your perspective?
My story would look like something from a horror story….. Ok, maybe not that bad. My story would be filled with many struggles. My story would have its fair share of failures and accomplishments. My story would outline how I overcame a horrible childhood and how I tried to break the cycle of abuse when raising my own children. My story would include the trauma of losing a child to cancer.
