My army dad (adoptive) retired from the military in 1969 and moved his family back to Quinlan Texas. We rented a house while they built a brick home next door that we moved into in 1970 or 71. I was born in Germany in 1961 and was adopted along with my sister. That in itself is a long story that has nothing to do with Texas. I lived in Texas until October of 1997 when my wife and kids moved to Atlanta Georgia. I bet I can come up with some memories to write about for your publication.
