Making money on Medium

I received an email that Medium sent me 2.00 and it would be transferred to my account soon. It reminded Me of going to the mailbox recently to find a settlement check for .91 cents. The stamps cost almost as much to mail the check.

I do not interact on Medium to make money. This is a fun hobby that gets me away from social media and gives me an outlet for some occasional writing. I spend more time reading and responding to other authors.

I know that you can make good money writing on Medium. That is only true if you crank out a lot of articles that catch the attention of readers. Beyond that I have no idea how you get paid or why. I think I might have fifty follower if that much. I think that at 100 followers that takes you to a new level.

so, thank you to each of you that follow me. I try to do my best to follow each of you as well. For those of you that do make money by writing where do you get the inspiration? How do you come up with topics for each article?

No matter what writing is a lot of work. I admire those of you that are good at it. That is what keeps me coming back for more.
