Liberty more often than not is purchased by the blood of patriots.

If you do not believe it, look backwards in time and read the history books on what American patriots had to do on independence day. They took up arms and they resisted the British troops. The people finally got to the point where enough was enough and they counted the cost. That cost was measured in the blood of patriots who were willing to lay down their lives for freedom. Now we enjoy freedom. I say that loosely of course. We have the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. If you have not read them, you should.

I am not a history buff but I am sure that there are plenty of examples where the people in one country or another got sick and tired of the tyrants that were trying to force their way on them. Their way includes political agenda, gun control, social reengineering, health care….. I am sure there are many “things” that people are resisting.

Fast forward to Ukraine. They are being invaded by Russia. I do not understand all of the many motivations for Putin to be doing this. I do know that he is using the Russian military to invade Ukraine so that he can possess it and control it. I am following this closely on NBC Nightly News every evening. Putin is a tyrant and he believes that Ukraine should be conquered at all cost so he can do with that country as he sees fit. Once again it is a control issue. The big bad wolf has identified a victim and he will stop at nothing. Ukrainian citizens are being killed. Men, women and children are being sacrificed for the Russian…
