Recently I was relieved of my contract job doing remote support for Verizon Wireless. Imagine my surprise after only working for the contracting firm for only 30 days. The pandemic has caused several of the retail stores to close and therefore their need for tech support diminished. That left 18 people (me included) back on the unemployment line. Sigh….
