It would seem that my wife and I find ourselves always being the ones to reach out and keep the connections alive. That goes with friends or family. Social media has done a lot of damage in that it seems that is the only way people want to stay in touch. What happened to picking up the phone and calling someone. Having a real time conversation and catching up. I have one person in my life who is a long time friend. We call each other about every 3 to 6 months to check in. My wife's half sister barely speaks to her either on the phone or via social media. It is disheartening. Thank you for sharing your story.
