In many communities the homeless situation is very evident. I work at a Social Services building doing security from 3 pm to 11 pm. I see homeless people every day. Some of them will come into the building asking to use the restroom. Most of the time I allow it if they appear to be mentally capable of not causing some sort of scene. As a young man in my early 20's I wound up on the streets myself and spent 30 days in a street rescue mission in Houston Texas back in the 80's. It was a very humbling experience. After that I got onto my feet financially and was able to get out of the rescue mission. I decided to work with a pastor friend of mine and spent time in ministry to the homeless in a Christian Coffee house for about 10 years. I guess you could say I have a place in my heart for those people who are disadvantaged. Thank you for your story.
