I use Activity Tracker on my Android A23 smartphone to track my steps.
Back in January, our vehicle wound up in the shop for 7 days due to the battery dying. I thought it was possible that the alternator died and killed the battery. The vehicle is a 2019 and it is still under an extended warranty. I wanted to make sure that the alternator was replaced and I did not have to pay out of pocket for the repair. I found out the battery was dead and I wasted 7 days going without a vehicle.
The negative outcome of that situation is that I had to pay to have the battery replaced. The positive outcome of that situation other than getting our vehicle back was that I decided to start walking for the exercise. I had no car so I forced myself to get off my butt and started to walk. Now, some of you might think, what is the big deal about walking, we do that every day, right?
Walking for exercise is an important decision. For me, I had to count the cost. My body was certainly not on board with that decision. You know how it goes. Your mind decides you are still 18 and your body quickly reminds you that in fact, you are not as young as you want to believe you are. Pain is the end result if you overdo things. Let's just say I am not light on my feet. I am in the category of being morbidly obese. In the last two years, I have lost 80 lbs. I have lost 2 inches in my waistline.
