I do not mind texts if they are informational, short and to the point. If we are going to have to type a paragraph in order to get the point across I would prefer to talk voice. I can talk much faster than I can type and I am a very fast on the keyboard. That is a computer keyboard that is, not the tiny little numbers and letters on my smart phone. Auto correct loves to hijack my sentences which drives me nuts. As for when I was a kid at home we were not allowed to touch the phone until we were 17 years old and then we had to answer it the way my parents expected. We had a rotary phone that sat in the foyer by the front door. Even when they upgraded to a touch tone phone with no party line the cordless phone sat in the cradle near the coffee pot in the kitchen. My parents did not realize until much later you could carry the damn thing all over the house. LOL
