This is what Wikipedia says about obesity in America

Obesity is common in the United States and is a major health issue associated with numerous diseases, specifically an increased risk of certain types of cancer, coronary artery disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, and cardiovascular disease, as well as significant increases in early mortality and economic costs.[1]African-American women have the highest obesity rates in the United States, with about 4 out of 5 African-American women being overweight or obese

One of the reasons that Americans are obese is because of the processed foods that we consume and overeating. Nutritional experts say this about shopping for groceries. Shop around the edges of the store and stay away from the boxed foods in the middle isles. For example…. How many boxes of sugary cereals will you find? I never knew there were that many brands of cereal but they are loaded with carbs and sugar. What is good for us? Fruits and vegetables. Lean meats are good for us. Stay away from the bread isle, candy isle and ice cream.

I am not a nutritionist however I am obese and I have Type II diabetes and high blood pressure. Part of the journey to lose weight is to learn that 90% of weight loss comes from what you DO NOT stick in your pie hole. The other 10% comes from removing your obese carcass off the couch or recliner and start moving to burn…
