Capturing your world in photos
Over the last 6 months I have been purchasing camera equipment and different lenses. The camera is a Canon EOS R100 mirrorless camera. It came as a bundle which included the camera body, a default lens , camera bag, filters and batteries. Since then I have purchased a macro lens, a manual telephoto lens and a 50mm lens.
I am learning that you use different lenses for different types of photos. The photo above of the flower pot was taken with the new 50 mm lens. If you look closely you can see that the flower pot is in the foreground while the grass and other flowers behind it are blurred out slightly. I really like the vibrant colors and how this photo turned out.
Our neighbors next to us spend lots of money on their yard. They are both retired and have lots of time on their hands. They have all sorts of plants and flowers in their yard and ours. They maintain the yard between our houses and I do not complain. I do not have the time on my hands to do this. I am very thankful how beautiful the yard is.
I took the photo up above with the 50 mm lens. I had the ultraviolet filter on the lens because the sun was very bright that day. That gave the photo a certain purple hue to…
