Daily pills

I spend so much time reading and responding to other Medium writers that I forget to write my own stories. So, here goes another glimpse into my daily life.

I woke up around 4 am because Roxie the puppy was barking. She needed to go outside and do her business. My wife slept right through it so I got out of my recliner in the living room and let the dogs out. Who let the dogs out? I do, all the time, multiple times per day it seems.

At 6:28 am I awakened to the sounds of activity in our dining room and it was my sweet wife getting ready to go to another day at the charter school she works at. I am a house husband since I am not employed at the moment so I get up and take “Katybug” to work which is only 8 minutes from our home. Then I drive to McDonalds to get breakfast.

I come home and go to my office with my breakfast and my pup Roxie who likes to beg for food and look out the window. I eat breakfast, check my emails and read Medium stories that I respond to. The most important thing I do is take my first 7 pills of the day. Most of them are prescribed for high blood pressure issues and other things that ail me.

Better living through chemicals. I have to take these pills in order to live a bit longer. High blood pressure will kill you if not addressed properly. Hypertension can cause stroke and heart attack. I…
